Back to the trails for 2020

Hello all, just a brief update from me. I did post a year end summary for 2019, including summaries from previous years.

So far for 2020, I have been keeping mostly to urban trails. My daughter has been running with me for several shorter runs.

Our first run together was up to Grand View Overlook, on the first day of the year. What a great way to start off a new year!!

I've been trying to keep short and consistent runs. So far, so good.

Today I went back to Palmer Park and did Templeton loop, catching the classic views.

At the top of the Yucca Area, I went down Greencrest trail and doubled back towards Palmer Point.

It was such a perfect winter day, with a crisp breeze in the air, but mostly sunny skies. All throughout my run, I had great expansive views of Pikes Peak and the southern Front Range.

I feel I am ready to go back to the mountains. My healing process has gone very well so far. Today I rounded out 10 miles, checking off my first double-digit run since my surgery.

I can't wait to be back in the winter woods on Barr Trail... it will be soon!
